Calling all sighthound owners! Do you share your life with a whippet, greyhound, lurcher, or another long-legged legend? Then this is for you! Sighthounds are fast, sensitive, smart, and wonderfully unique, but they don’t always fit the “one-size-fits-all” approach to dog training. That’s why I created Sighthound Essentials, a 6-week course designed specifically for these beautiful breeds and their humans. Learn how to: Walk calmly on lead (even around distractions) Build a reliable recall Understand your hound’s prey drive and sensitivity Help them settle calmly at home and in public Strengthen your bond through confidence and connection This course starts on Tuesday 2nd December at 6pm and runs for six consecutive weeks. Classes will consist of small groups (6 hounds max) so every team gets plenty of attention without overwhelm. Perfect for any sighthound owner who wants to truly understand their dog, build confidence, and enjoy life together. Spaces are limited, and they’ll go faster than a greyhound on zoomies, so don’t miss out! Course structure: Session 1 will be an online session where we go over the course and discuss everything sighthound. It also allows you to ask any questions and allows me to get to know you before we meet in-person. The remainder of the sessions will be in-person at Trysull Village Hall. Cancellation Policy
Payment for classes is for a block of consecutive weeks; non-attendance will result in a loss of that week (unless the class is cancelled by All That Jazz Dog Training Academy, in which case we will carry the class payment forward to the end of your block). Should classes be postponed due to extreme weather or other restrictions those classes will be presented via an online platform or postponed until the following week. Should you have any doubt if training may be cancelled e.g. weather conditions etc., please call, check your emails, texts, and voicemails, we will also put notifications of cancellation on our Facebook page. Payments for classes are non-refundable and non-transferable. Please ensure you arrive on time for your class to avoid any disruption to the other dogs and owners that are already working. All dogs must be on a lead at all times, regardless of if your dog has a good recall or is friendly with other dogs. Any injury to a person or a dog is the sole responsibility of the owner. Puppies must be fully vaccinated at the beginning of the first class. It is the owner’s responsibility to keep up to date with your dog’s annual vaccinations. Please pick up all dog poo and place it in the bins provided. Children are very welcome to attend training classes, we encourage the whole family to participate in their dog's training, however, due to the nature of our business we ask that children stay with their parents/guardians. Children should not be running around and they must not approach other dogs or play with/on any equipment. It is the parent’s/guardian's sole responsibility for their child’s safety.
